The Cool Frontier - Spaghetti Western Series Movie presents Django
A 1966 Spaghetti Western starring Franco Neor, Loredana Nusciak, and José Bódalothe. Directed by Sergio Corbucci. The iconic Franco Nero stars as a mysterious gunslinger dragging a coffin through a muddy, war-torn frontier. Grittier and more topical than Leone’s films, Django became an international sensation—and a major influence on Quentin Tarantino, who borrowed both the title and the attitude for his 2012 tribute. (Rated R)
Dr. Andrew P. Nelson, Chief Curator, will add context with a videotaped introduction to the film.
